It's fitting that the premier article for this blog includes an amazing milestone.  Earlier this month we surpassed more that 6000 McDonald's restaurants having deployed e*Restaurant. What makes it an even bigger accomplishment is that the project is actively being adopted in many of the worldwide divisions.

Every week around 200 restaurants are going live.  This is an astoundingly difficult feat as you might imagine.  All over the world there are training sessions taking place where operators are learning the new system.  All of this is the result of years of effort by hundreds of the finest people in the industry both from McDonald's and Altametrics.

If you want to see something neat, check out the custom logo that was created for the project.  I really like the design, it was created by Jenny Polycarpe.  e*Restaurant McDonald's logo.

Now a lot of people ask me "What exactly is McDonald's doing with e*Restaurant?".  I can't answer that of course but in future blog posts I will talk about how e*Restaurant can revolutionize the way operators think about and operate their restaurants today.  Stay tuned.
